Associate Director
The associate director will be the external representative of the organization and is charged with building relationships with financial and tickets donors. He or she will either supervise or perform all duties related to budgeting, development, planning, public relations and technology management. This is a new position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person who is selected for the new position will be charged with these responsibilities, among others:
* Coordinating development of a 3-year strategic plan. This will set out specific goals and strategies for improving our service delivery as well as expanding into new markets.
* Leading development activities in order to meet funding objectives and widen the base of support for the organization. Supervise and/or conduct all fundraising activities, including grantwriting, personal presentations, and special events.
* Supervising the development of a communications plan for key audiences and monitoring its execution.
* Increasing collaboration with other organizations in order to build mutually beneficial programs and increase opportunities for the children we serve.
* Overseeing the selection and implementation of a new technology platform. We can develop current efforts to use technology to improve our ticket collection, distribution and tracking systems. This will be especially important as we consider plans to expand to more markets.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. College degree in business, marketing or social services; advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of seven years experience in non-profit management or administration, with at least three years of involvement with development or fundraising.
3. An existing network of contacts in the local non-profit community would be beneficial.
4. Knowledge of and high level of comfort with technology and processes, particularly with the Microsoft office suite of products and database technology.
5. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
REPORTING:
The Associate Director will report directly to the Managing Director and supervise the Program Director.
