Internship

HELP KIDS IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES WITH AN INTERNSHIP AT TICKETS FOR KIDS CHARITIES.

If you’d like to bring joy to thousands of children while gaining experience in the non-profit world, then Tickets for Kids Charities has an internship for you!

WHO WE ARE: TFK enriches the lives of underprivileged children and their families by making it possible for them to attend high-quality sporting, arts, cultural and entertainment events.  Since 1994, TFK has reached more than one million children nationwide! Tickets are donated by venues, groups and individuals and then distributed by TFK through more than 2,000 approved social services agencies. Here's more about what we do.

WHY THIS MATTERS: Think of how the world can open up to a child who has never seen a play, or been to a concert or a ballgame. We want to give children a sense that anything is possible, and help them dream exciting lives for their future. This is especially important in these difficult economic times, when families have had to cut back just to make ends meet. Funding is down, but requests for tickets are at an all-time high.

WHO YOU ARE: You have an interest in business or nonprofit operations and are willing to do what it takes to get the job done. You enjoy communicating with people and the opportunity to problem-solve. Your major can be management, marketing, accounting, or social work; the major is not as important as your ability to make a contribution. A sense of humor always helps!

WHAT YOU DO: Since this is an unpaid internship, we can be flexible about your hours as long as they are during regular business hours. Daily duties can include assisting with: ticket distribution, mailings, database entry, marketing, website updating, and fundraising/development. Special projects can be tailored to the intern's skills and areas of interest. We are happy to provide any documentation necessary for school credit.

WHERE WE ARE: We’re located in Aspinwall (near the Highland Park Bridge) on a major bus line.

HOW TO APPLY:  Send a resume and cover letter to info@ticketsforkids.org.  Tell us why you’d like the internship and what your interests are. We can usually match opportunities to skills. Please no phone calls.

FINALLY: TFK is a registered 501(C)(3).

Creating memories. Expanding possibilities.
